Access to Higher Education (SWAP) SCQF Level 6

Access to Higher Education

This course is part of the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP) and offers a unique learning experience to adults with few or no qualifications. On successful completion of the course students can progress to higher education.

Currently, our former students are studying a wide range of subjects, including Literature, Politics, Psychology, Social Work and History in universities across Scotland. Many students study on a residential basis, but we also offer non-residential places.

Social Sciences (NC) SCQF Level 6

This course is designed for learners who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in the Humanities and Social Science to progress to HN study or employment.

It is also suitable for school leavers who may wish to augment their Higher qualifications before embarking on university study.

Preparation for Work and Learning SCQF Level 4

This course is designed for school leavers and adults returning to education. It’s perfect for those with limited prior qualifications, offering the skills and confidence to move forward.

Social Sciences: Associate Degree (HNC) SCQF Level 7

This innovative pathway allows you to start your degree journey with a unique blend of college and university experience.

As an Associate Student, you’ll be enrolled at QMU from day one, studying the first year at Newbattle Abbey College. Complete this course and advance to Year 2 of select undergraduate programs at QMU.
